Castle Rat is a Brooklyn, New York medieval fantasy heavy metal / doom metal band known for thunderous riffs, theatrical lore, sword-and-sorcery visuals, and immersive live shows led by Riley “The Rat Queen” Pinkerton. Formed in 2019, the band builds its world around The Realm, The Rat Queen, The Count, The Plague Doctor, The Druid, and their battle against Death Herself, with releases including Into the Realm, The Bestiary, “Dagger Dragger,” “Fresh Fur,” “WIZARD,” “WOLF I,” “SERPENT,” and “SIREN.”
